BILL GRIFFITH is a ceramic artist, educator and former Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts administrator.
Bill’s functional and sculptural ceramics continue to be exhibited and published in national juried/invitational exhibitions and publications. His work is included in private and public collections including the Tennessee State Museum, the Arkansas Museum of Fine Art, Asheville Art Museum, NC, Arrowmont Permanent Collection, TN, City of Orlando, Florida Permanent Collection, San Angelo Museum of Art, TX, Haan Museum of Indiana Art, Tokoname Cultural Museum, Japan and Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute, China.
Bill is active as a visiting artist, juror and workshop leader for craft schools, universities, art centers and craft fairs throughout the United States. He is a recipient of a Tennessee Arts Commission Individual Artist Fellowship.
In 2018, The National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) awarded him the Outstanding Achievement Award for his contributions to the ceramics field.
